Our Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapeutic Group Programmes

Our social and therapeutic supports are grounded in lived experience, professional excellence, and a shared passion for empowering neurodivergent individuals to thrive. All programmes are NDIS-funded therapeutic supports delivered by ACA-registered counsellors who specialise in neurodivergent-affirming, best-practice approaches.

Interest-Based Therapeutic Engagement

All therapy is delivered within group settings and woven seamlessly into discussions and activities that align with participants' shared interests. This is a core part of our neurodivergent-affirming approach, as we recognise that traditional face-to-face therapy models are often not best practice for our community. Instead, we prioritise relational safety, interest-based engagement, and natural skill development in environments where participants feel genuinely seen, respected, and comfortable.

We use activities like gaming, creative arts, movement, and role-playing as therapeutic engagement tools - not just recreational activities, but evidence-based methods to support skill development in social connection, communication, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and independence.

Programme of Support (PoS) Framework

Our programmes operate under an NDIS Programme of Support model, designed to provide the predictability and consistency that supports positive therapeutic outcomes for autistic clients. This structure helps reduce anxiety by creating a reliable rhythm for attendance:

  • Programmes run 12 months per year, including school holidays

  • Sessions only close on public holidays

  • Consistent weekly attendance supports ongoing skill development

  • Maintains peer connections without disruption during holiday periods

Individual Therapy Plans Within Group Settings

While our sessions are delivered in groups, each participant receives an individualised therapy plan with specific, measurable goals tailored to their disability-related support needs. Progress is monitored regularly through evidence-based assessment, and comprehensive reports are provided for NDIS plan reviews.

All programmes include:

  • Initial and ongoing functional assessments by qualified therapists

  • Individualised therapy plans with measurable goals

  • Regular progress monitoring and reporting

  • Coordination with other supports and mainstream services

  • Family/support network collaboration (where appropriate)

  • Evidence-based therapeutic frameworks delivered through neurodivergent-affirming approaches

  • Compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct

LGBTQ+ Pride

We are proud members of the Welcome Here Project, a nationwide initiative supporting businesses and services to create visibly welcoming and inclusive environments for the LGBTQ+ community. As members, we display the Welcome Here rainbow sticker and charter to show that LGBTQ+ diversity is not only welcomed but celebrated within our space.

H

is for Honour Authenticity

  • We show up as our empowered selves — no masking, no pretending.

  • We create spaces where you can feel safe to be yourself, without shame, fixing, or pressure to conform.

  • We’re committed to growing alongside you — reflecting, learning, and staying open to feedback and change.

  • We honour our own authenticity so that we can better honour yours.

E

is for Embody Empowerment

  • We model empowered neurodivergence. That means being prepared, staying regulated, doing the admin, and showing up consistently.

  • We take responsibility for our energy and choices, and we support others to do the same.

  • Empowerment also means respecting limits and pacing — so we can co-create trust and sustainability in all our relationships.

A

is for Amplify Accessibility

  • We actively remove barriers — physical, emotional, sensory, and systemic.

  • We keep our spaces welcoming, our communication clear, and our practices inclusive.

  • We understand that every brain and body is different. We’re committed to learning how to support needs that may not be our own — with flexibility, curiosity, and care.

R

is for Radiate Connection and Joy

  • We bring warmth, humour, and kindness into every interaction.

  • We build relationships with intention — checking in, celebrating growth, and holding space through challenges.

  • We believe that genuine connection comes from safety, not pressure — and that laughter and lightness are powerful forms of regulation.

T

is for Trust and Build Safety

  • We build trust through consistency, care, and clear communication.

  • You can rely on us to prepare, follow through, and hold space with integrity.

  • Safety is a shared experience — and we value emotional safety just as much as physical safety.

  • We repair when things go wrong, and we approach those moments with kindness, not defensiveness.
