AuDHD Future Leader Program:
Nest, Animal Stewardship & Junior Session Support
I’m an Emerging Leader at Neurodivergent Empowered, and part of my role is caring for the animals and helping look after our Nest environment.
I feed and nurture our resident creatures, help get the space ready for sessions, and do my part to make sure it feels calm, welcoming, and sensory-friendly for everyone who walks in.
Through this work, I’m building practical skills, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose. It means a lot to know that what I do helps create a space where our community can feel safe and supported as that is what I felt at the Nest when I came out as trans this year.

Why I am about passionate about the work I do for Neurodivergent Empowered:
I’m passionate about the work I do at Neurodivergent Empowered because I love all animals and enjoy looking after them. I also care deeply about everyone feeling safe and wanted.
I don’t understand why, throughout history, people were discriminated against just for being female or having a different skin colour. It makes me feel angry to know this still happens today.
Knowing that the Nest can be a place where people feel safe and protected from that kind of hurt makes me feel happy as I feel that for myself too

The Pokèmon character that best describes me is Sylveon...

💗 Sensitive, Fierce, and Protective
I’m Sylveon because I care deeply about others. I notice when someone’s been left out, hurt, or treated unfairly—and I can’t just ignore it. I’m gentle, but I’m also strong when it matters. I will always stand up for people who need to feel safe, seen, and protected.
🌸 Loves Beauty, Peace, and Colour
I love the colour pink, creating beautiful things, and making the Nest feel calm and welcoming. Like Sylveon, I bring softness and peace into the spaces I care for. I love helping the animals, setting things up just right, and creating a space where everyone can relax and be themselves.
🐾 Connection-Driven
Sylveon evolves through love and trust—and I think that’s really special. I don’t try to be the loudest. I try to be kind, respectful, and real. I build trust by caring, listening, and helping—and that makes people feel safe. That’s how I try to lead at Neurodivergent Empowered.
🎨 Creative and Expressive
I love drawing, creating characters, and imagining new worlds. Sylveon reminds me of that—kind, magical, and a little bit sparkly. I like to express who I am through art, colour, and helping others feel welcome in their own skin too.
🕊️ Peacekeeper with Strong Boundaries
Even though I’m soft, I’m not weak. I get upset when I hear about unfair things—like racism or sexism—and I want to help make the world better. I believe everyone should feel safe and wanted, and I’ll always try to be someone who protects that.
