Abbey Baker

I’m a psychology graduate with a four-year accredited degree, including my Honours thesis. As an Early Intervention Practitioner at Neurodivergent Empowered, I bring a neurodivergent-affirming, strengths-based approach to working with children and their families.

I support early development through connection, sensory awareness, and empowerment—meeting each child where they are and honouring their unique ways of being. My work is grounded in understanding the whole child and creating safe, joyful experiences that lay the foundation for lifelong confidence and self-expression.

I love learning new things!

I am a little bit of a nerd at heart and I love learning new things. Being able to broaden my knowledge of the world and expand on my passions is something I love to do. My most recent learning achievement is my Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) that I gained in 2023. I’m super interested in human behaviour and mental health!

Connection with Friends

My friends are some of the most important people in my life! Having a sense of belonging and connection is something that I deeply value.

The fact that I get to create that sense of belonging in both my personal and professional life is truly amazing.

Dance & Performance

Dancing is my creative outlet and is a huge passion of mine.

I love how I can create a storyline and convey feeling through dance.

I feel like my most authentic self when I am on stage performing.

Why I am about passionate about the work I do for Neurodivergent Empowered:

I’m passionate about the work I do for Neurodivergent Empowered because it aligns with my core values of authenticity, inclusion, and respect for individual experiences. Supporting young people to feel seen, heard, and celebrated for who they are, not who others expect them to be, is deeply meaningful to me. I’m driven by the belief that real empowerment comes from creating safe, affirming spaces where individuals can build confidence, develop meaningful connections, and explore their unique strengths.

Im passionate about making a difference, and every session is an opportunity help make a small impact in creating a more welcoming, positive, and inclusive world for us all to live in.

Current Sessions I am one of the Facilitator's for:
